Super Eagles striker, Junior Ajayi continued his impressive form in the Egyptian League as he once again provided an assist that gave his team, Al Alhy a lone goal win over Wadi Degla on Tuesday.
Ajayi who was instrumental in Al Alhy’s qualification to the Egyptian Cup, as he delivered on the goods once more setting up Walid Azaro to score in the 28th minute of the game.
Walid’s lone strike ensure the Red Devils remain on course to extend their goal margins despite winning the Egypt Premier League already and he is now in a position to claim the golden boot as he scored his 18th.
Walid has now become the first foreign player to reach 18 goals in a season breaking the record set by Former Super Eagles and ex-Ismaily player John Utaka and former Al Alhy player and Angola player, Flavio who scored 17 goals in a season.
Ajayi has so far notched in 12 goals this season for the Red Devils both in the League and Champions League qualifiers.
