Banjul Hawks FC, who won the Gambia Federation Cup in 2017, pulled a shocker in Uyo with first half goals from Muhammed Jallow and Lamin Charty while the “promise keeper” got their consolation goal in the late minutes of the game through Victor Mbaoma to ensure they have something to hold on to into the second leg.

Maikaba speaking ahead of the crucial encounter said if his players would keep calm, he believes they will create scoring chances in Banjul and if they could convert the chances they will end up the winning side.
