Atletico Madrid are not giving up the battle to ensure that their coach, Diego Simeone returns to the touchline in their Europa Cup final against Marseille in Lyon.
The UEFA Appeals Committee had on Friday, rejected the Spanish club’s request to reduce the four-match ban handed to their coach in the first leg semi-final against Arsenal.
The Rojiblancos have now taken their appeal to Court of Arbitration of Sports (CAS) with the hope of having a fair judgement on reducing the ban.
Though CAS has not fixed a date yet for them to hear the case from Atletico, the club could still allow Someone’s assistant to be on the touchline.
Diego Simeone was sent to the crowd by French referee, Clement Turpin for his inappropriate manners in the technical area.
