Barcelona players got a guard of honour after their 2-2 draw with Real Madrid as Gerard Pique asked club staff to form one to applaud the Catalans after their 2-2 stalemate at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

Real Madrid had refused to give the La Liga champions a guard of honour before the game stating that Barca refused to honour them when they meet in the first leg of the El Clasico in Santiago Bernabeu following Madrid’s FIFA World Club Cup victory.
Barcelona players, who had earlier received a guard of honour in their last La Liga game against Deportivo, were made to walk to the pitch without any extra fanfare as Madrid turned their back on the tradition known in Spain as ‘Pasillo’.
