Multiple Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt, who dreams of starting a career as a footballer at 31, will take part in a Borussia Dortmund training on Friday, the current Bundesliga club has announced.
Borussia soberly confirmed the announcement made by the sprinter himself: “BVB, get ready for Friday”, he wrote on Twitter under the hashtag #BVBolt.
The training is scheduled at 10:30 (09:30 GMT) and will be open to the public.
Bolt, whose equipment supplier is the same as that of Dortmund, has never made a secret of his ambition to try his luck in professional football after his career on track.
In January, the world record holder of the 100 and 200 meters had already announced this meeting, which it presents as a test: “We will perform a test in March in Dortmund,” he said in an interview. “One of my biggest dreams is to sign for Manchester United, and if Dortmund says I’m good enough, I’ll hang in there and train hard,” he added.
