Burnley made a dramatic return to Euro football with a place to next season Europa League play-offs after 51 years of waiting.
The Clarets who started the season on a high flying mood will finish at the seventh place in the Premier League after Everton were held to a 1-1 stalemate by relegation placed Southampton on Saturday.
The club celebrated their return to the Europa League on their website, “It’s official! The Clarets are back in Europe. We’re all going on a European tour.”
Burnley could still earn a spot in the group stage on Sunday should they defeat Arsenal who are three points ahead of them.
The club finished in 16th place in their first season back in the League. Burnley first played in European competition in the 1960/1961 season in the Europa Cup where they were knocked out by Hamburger in the quarter-final on a 5-4 aggregate.
