Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea has won the Premier League Golden Glove award this season.
Manchester United played a goalless draw with West Ham on Thursday night at the London Stadium as De Gea now have 18 clean sheets to defeat Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson who have 16 with just one game to end the season.
The Spaniard has been fantastic in goal for Manchester United this season making clear-cut saves and rising on several occasions to become the fifth defender for Manchester United’s defense when the chips are down.
De Gea in a post-match interview said, “It feels good, it is my first Golden Glove award. I am really happy for that. It means we defended well in this league, I am happy for me and happy for the team.
“It is for everyone, it is a team award, not just for the goalkeeper. It’s good for me but I am also happy for the team.”

The Golden Glove award would be De Gea’s third individual accolade this season having won the Players’ Player of the Year prize for a record-breaking fourth time and the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year at the club’s annual awards ceremony earlier this month.
Since joining Manchester United in 2011, he has made more than 300 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.
