Airport retailer, Dubai Duty-Free has renewed its global sponsorship of the Women’s Tennis Association, (WTA) to extend its longstanding global sponsorship of women’s tennis.
Former World No 1 Carolina Woziniacki, will continue her support as a Dubai Duty-Free player ambassador for the seventh successive year, alongside world No 1, Simona Halep and the two-time Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships winner, Elina Svitolina.
The new deal extends the two parties’ relationship to 15 years. Dubai Duty-Free will retain its position as the presenting partner of the WTA year-end World No.1 singles and doubles awards.
Sponsoring WTA since 2004, Dubai Duty-free will also host a special ‘Women That Achieve Power Lunch’ on June 28 as part of the new ‘WTA Tennis on the Thames’ event in London.
The event will feature some of tennis’ most influential females, along with media and WTA partners.
Executive vice-chairman and chief executive of Dubai Duty-Free, Colm McLoughlin said,
