The Super Eagles returned to training on Sunday evening to begin preparations for their next group game against Iceland.
The team arrived at Essentuki Sunday afternoon in high spirits despite their 2-0 loss against Croatia on Saturday.
Some of the players who were unused substitutes against Croatia were the one that trained on Sunday while the rest of the team who played at Kaliningrad Stadium trained on Monday.
A tweet from the Eagles’ camp said, “#SuperEagles who did not play in #CRONGA Saturday night trained at the Essentuki Arena this evening on arrival from Kaliningrad #NGAISL #WorldCup #SoarSuperEagles.”
Team coach, Gernot Rohr had in a post-match interview said the team will go back to the drawing board and bounce back as he is optimistic they will qualify to the next round of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
