England fans have decided to spot the Gareth Southgate look as they throng the terraces of the Luzhniki stadium in Moscow in their thousands to cheer the Three Lions who clash with Croatia in the second semi-final of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Wednesday night.
Reports say that at least a sizeable number of the over 10,000 fans expected at the match venue would be clad in the youthful England manager’s now trademark waistcoat look that has somewhat symbolised the team’s success story at the ongoing Mundial.
English fans have been having a swell time lately with the Harry Kane skippered team giving them so much to cheer in four straight victories in five outings so far in the World Cup.
The Three Lions had climaxed their terrific run in the tournament after reaching the semifinals for the first time since Italia’90 on the back of a commanding win over Sweden in the last eight. This was after they had finally exorcised the demons of their perennial penalty jinx to sweep Colombia aside in the round of 16.
Now, wishing to repay the team for giving them so much joy, the fans have decided to wear, en masse, the Gareth Southgate look of shit, trousers, completed with a waistcoat as a mark of tribute to the manager.
But hotsportstv.com has learnt that dressing the Gareth Southgate way is sure to set the fans back by hundreds of precious British pounds as a complete ensemble is expected to cost at least £248 ( about N118,500.00)
A breakdown of the full dressing, according to prices gleaned from English boutiques is as follows: Shirt- £45, trouser- £84, tie- £25, brogues-£79 and handkerchief-£15.
But as steep as the price of a regular dress may seem, the fans see it as a small price to pay to see their team reach the final of the World Cup, the first and only time since after they won it in 1966.
