Super Falcons continued their preparation in Banjul ahead of Wednesday’s AWCON 2018 qualifier first leg clash with the Scorpions of Gambia, Tuesday at the FIFA Goal Project pitch, Yundum.
Thomas Dennerby’s Ladies had arrived Banjul, capital of the Gambia in an Air Peace airline flight from Lagos, Monday at 11 am Gambia time (12 noon Nigeria time).
The squad, led by the Chairman of NFF Women’s Football Committee, Hon. Ayo Omidiran has since settled down at the Metzy Residence Hotel and had had their first training at the FIFA Goal Project in Banjul on Monday evening.
Gambia’s senior girls had thrashed Burkina Faso in the earlier round, with the Super Falcons drawing bye, and the reward for the Gambians is a two-legged affair with the reigning champions that will determine which of the two teams will be at the final tournament in Ghana in November.
