The team departed Nigeria on Tuesday with only 18 players making the trip to Nouakchott, Mauritania.

CHAN Eagles forward, Peter Eneji is not among the players that travelled as he is currently on trials with a European club.

Also missing in the team are Jerome Akor and Mike Zaruma who is ruled out of the game due to injury.

The game will be played on July 13 with the second leg a week later in Nigeria. The winner of the two legs will get the ticket for the 2019 U-20 Youth Championship.

The Flying Eagle missed out of last year’s tournament in Zambia.
