Four former Spanish international, Xavi Hernandez, Raul, Xabi Alonso and Victor Valdes who have completed their six weeks coaching courses have all received their UEFA A and B coaching diplomas.
The Spaniards were among 16 other former professionals who took part in UEFA’s Elite coaching course as they hope to return to take up coaching jobs.
They were joined also by Ex-Liverpool winger Albert Riera and former Arsenal forward Julio Baptista who were also presented with their diplomas after graduating on Friday morning.
With their certificates, they are now cleared to take charge of youth teams, having completed the course and after a year in charge of a club’s teenage prospects, will be free to obtain their UEFA Pro licence and move up to the top level.
The course, which was held at Spain’s national training base just outside of Madrid, taught the former stars topics such as club management, nutrition, psychology, medicine, team building and more.
Report says Xabi Alonso and Raul have already been offered an opportunity to train one of Real Madrid’s academy teams next season after gaining their licenses.
