Clay master, Rafael Nadal has won his 11th French Open title on clay, Sunday at Roland Garros.
The Spaniard despite an injury scare on his fingers endured to the last set to defeat 8th seed, Dominic Thiem 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 in a single set.
The Victory took Nadal’s record at Roland Garros to 86 wins and just two losses.
Nadal, now has 17 Grand Slam titles, just three behind great rival Roger Federer.
The 32- year old will join Australia’s Margaret Court as the only player to win 11 titles at the same major.
The Spaniard is now inches closer to Roger Federer’s all-time record of 20grand slam title.
