Former Liverpool’s great, Steven Gerrard on Friday agreed to a four-year deal in principle to become Scottish football club, Rangers manager for next season.
Gerrard is said to have arrived in Glasgow on Friday to officially sign his contract and will be assisted by former Liverpool first team manager, Gary McAllister at Ibrox.
The former Liverpool legend arrived London on Thursday following his return from Rome in Liverpool’s Champions League game against AS Roma and thereafter, sealed the deal with the Rangers hierarchy.
Rangers’ director of football Mark Allen and head of scouting Andy Scoulding convinced Gerrard to take the plunge into management at Rangers.
He will now guide the club following the sacking of Graeme Murty, earlier this week in the wake of a 5-0 loss at Celtic as Rangers are now in third place in the Scottish Premiership with 13 points behind Celtic.
