Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has travelled to Greece on Tuesday ahead of a meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo to finalize the transfer of the Real Madrid star.
Juventus is leading the race to sign Portugal’s captain to Turin after he announced he will not extend his contract with Madrid and the Italian giants are proposing a €100 million ($110m) with the deal near completion.
Ronaldo, who guided Portugal to the round of 16 in Russia, is currently on a break in Greece with his family.
Italian newspaper, Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that Agnelli boarded a private jet from Pisa to the Greek city of Calamata on Tuesday to meet Ronaldo.
The 33-year-old’s contract in Real Madrid was due to expire in 2021.
