Justin Kluivert scored a hat-trick as Ajax regained second spot in the Eredivisie with a 5-1 home victory against Roda JC.
The 18-year-old, son of the former Ajax, AC Milan and Barcelona striker Patrick, scored his first goal just before half-time to bring the Amsterdam side level after Christian Kum had given the visitors the lead.
His second came on the hour mark and he completed his hat-trick with five minutes remaining, achieving a feat his father never did.
Kluivert senior played in the Eredivisie with Ajax and, later in his career, PSV Eindhoven but never scored a league hat-trick in Holland.
Kasper Dolberg and Donny van de Beek were also on the scoresheet for Ajax, who moved back above AZ Alkmaar on goal difference.
PSV remain eight points clear at the top of the table after a 2-1 win at Excelsior.
A Jurgen Mattheij own goal and a strike from Hirving Lozano had the leaders in control at half-time but Ryan Koolwijk halved the deficit after 52 minutes.
Utrecht are up to fifth after a 3-1 victory at Sparta Rotterdam. Zakaria Labyad scored either side of Nick Proschwitz’s equaliser for the hosts before Gyrano Kerk sealed the win with 15 minutes remaining.
Vitesse are right behind them after taking full advantage of Tyronne Ebuehi’s red card to defeat Den Haag 2-0.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men after 71 minutes when Ebuehi was booked twice in as many minutes and Matt Miazga made the decisive breakthrough three minutes from the end.
Bryan Linssen added a second goal deep into added time to give Vitesse a first win at the GelreDome in eight games.
They have climbed up to sixth in the league and are a point behind Utrecht.
