PSG coach Unai Emery has said that Brazilian star, Neymar, who is recovering in Brazil after a right foot injury, will return to Paris in two to three weeks.
The 26 year old got injured on 25 February in the clash against Olympique de Marseille in the French League and notably missed the knockout round of the Champions League against Real Madrid on the 6th of March.
“I spoke this week with him, he’s good, quiet, we talked about the final of (Saturday), he’ll be careful, and then he’ll come back in two, three weeks” to Paris, said Emery, about his Brazilian star, who will be the big missing in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue against Monaco, Saturday in Bordeaux.
Neymar’s right foot was operated on the 3rd of March in Brazil by doctor’s Rodrigo Lasmar, who ruled him out till the end of the season, however, PSG and the Brazilian Federation, will make a new assessment in mid-April to assess the possible date of return to training as Neymar starts a race to get fit for the World Cup in Russia ( June 14-July 15).
The PSG, four-time defending champion, is aiming for a fifth consecutive success in the Coupe de la Ligue against Monaco on Saturday in Bordeaux.
