Nigeria Win Silver In Women’s 4x400m

The quartet of Patience Okon-George, Glory Nathaniel, Praise Idamadudu and Yinka Ajayi, won silver in Women’s 4x400m at the on-going Commowealth Games in Gold Coast Australia, on saturday.

Patience Okon-George who won Silver four years ago with the Glasgow team, gave it her all as the most experienced member of the Gold Coast 4x400m team, established the lead for Nigeria to hand over the baton to Glory Nathaniel, with Praise Idamadudu and Yinka Ajayi bringing home the baton in 3:25.29 in 2nd place, as Jamaica retained the 2014.Glasglow title to win gold with a time of 3:24.00.

Botswana’s Amantle Montsho took the Bronze ahead of England, setting a National Record (NR) of 3:26.86 in the process.
