Lobi Stars will resume the 2017-2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the World Cup break without their all-time highest goalscorer, Tony Okpotu who has joined Moroccan club, Difaa Hassani El Jadidi.
The club made the disclosure through its official Twitter handle on Thursday.

Okpotu who is popularly known as ‘The Panther’ started his football with Lobi Stars in the 2012-2013 season before he moved to Libyan club, Al-Ittihad in the 2013-2014 season where he spent just a season before rejoining Lobi Stars in 2015 and holds the club highest goal scoring record with 71 goals.
He was part of the Super Eagles squad at the WAFU 2017 in Ghana and 2018 CHAN tournament in Morocco.
Lobi stars who are topping the league will travel to the Bako Kontagora stadium next week Wednesday to play Niger Tornadoes in the Matchday 25 fixtures.
