El- Kanemi Warriors coach, Eziwo Ernest has expressed dismay over the poor officiating that blighted his team’s game against MFM FC in their rescheduled matchday 24 game at the Agege Stadium on Monday morning.
Coach Ernest in an exclusive post-match interview with hotsportst.com said though he is not the kind of coach who criticizes match officials, he was not happy about some decisions that the referee made in the course of the game.
He said, “From the look of things after the game, the result of the match does not reflect on what we played in the game as everybody in the stadium can attest to that”
“I’m not the kind of coach that talks about poor officiating but fans who watched the game were able to make the decisions by themselves”
Speaking on his team going to the league break with a loss he said, “We still have a long way to fight back and make our statement in the league. We have some weeks now to put our house in order before the league resumes”
“I believe by the special grace of God, we will be able to come back stronger when the league resume by July for the final race,” he added.
A 14th-minute goal scored by MFM striker, Chijioke Akuneto separated both teams as El-Kanemi remain 13th on the league table with 29 points from 24 games.
