Everton striker, Wayne Rooney could be heading to the US Major League Soccer (MLS) with DC United the most likely destination.
The former Manchester United striker was reported to have agreed to a £12.5m deal in principle after his managers have been in the US for talks that will see him calling it quit with the Premier League.
Rooney has been unhappy recently with his playing time in with Everton with the former England international expressing his dissatisfaction when he was substituted by manager, Sam Allardyce in their game against Liverpool.
Rooney who spent 13 seasons at Manchester United from Everton at the age of 18 re-joined Everton in July 2017 as he is halfway through a two-year deal at Goodison Park, having played 31 times in the league this season with four appearances from the bench.
Rooney has notched 11 goals this season for Everton to remain the club top goal scorer after leaving Manchester United with the record also as the highest goal scorer
