Hector in his first press conference on Thursday confirmed that the Liverpool forward who injured in the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid is 100 per cent ready to lead the Pharoahs in their opening game.

Hector said, “Salah is doing very well indeed, he’s recovered very quickly. We’ll see how it goes today. I can almost assure you 100 per cent, he will play against Uruguay”

“We are trying to make him feel confident. The doctors are giving him the option to play or not. I know him very well, and I’m sure he’s not afraid”

“A risk of playing match is something we can’t hide. In terms of him on the pitch, he’ll have full guarantees. If we do see at the last minutes there’s an issue,  it can be resolved”

Salah has been in the race to be fit for the World Cup after he was forced to be substituted after he dislocated his shoulder in a contest against Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos as Liverpool loss 3-1 to Madrid in Kiev May 17.

Egypt are in group A alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and host country Egypt and will open their World Cup campaign on June 15.
