Nigerian international, Samuel Kalu, completed his move to French Ligue 1 side, Girondins Bordeaux from Belgian Jupiler side, KAA Gent on Monday in a five-year deal worth €8m.
Bordeaux had earlier announced on Sunday that they have reached an agreement with Gent for the transfer of the talented winger as a replacement for Brazilian winger Malcom who joined Barcelona.
The club in a statement on its official Twitter page confirmed the deal, it posted, “#Mercato It’s done! Samuel #Kalu is Girondins! The striker has committed for 5 years with the club from @KAAGent!
The Les Girondins had an initial bid for the Nigerian rejected by Gent with the Belgian side.
Kalu who joined KAA Gent from AS Trencin in 2016 alongside Nigeria international Moses Simon made 48 appearances and scored 10 goals.
