Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru is excited at winning the Belgium Talent of the Year Award.
Onyekuru who is enjoying a loan spell from English Premier League outfit Everton, has been playing with Belgian side Anderlecht since the start of the 2017/2018 season.
Onyekuru’s performance stole the headlines last season in his debut season in the Belgium top flight with 24 goals for modest side Eupen, who were promoted same season.
With a slow start to life at Anderlecht, he found his feet and started scoring goals for fun before he picked up a knee injury in December during a league game against his former side Eupen. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at Everton and was unable to attend the award.
The forward took to his page on twitter to celebrate the award.
“I am honoured to receive the Belgium talent of the year award, it has been a great journey so far and there is more to come. I thank the almighty God for his grace, and I want to thank my family for their love and support”.
The 20 year old forward has impressed for Anderlecht with a total of 10 goals in 28 appearances for the Belgian side before the injury.
