National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club(NFSC), Rev.Samuel Ikpea has been honoured by the Society For the Advancement of Credible Leadership for his unique leadership qualities and committed service to humanity.
In an impressive ceremony at the Supporters Club Secretariat in Surulere, Lagos Wednesday, the Chairman was presented an award for distinguishing himself in managing the affairs of the club as well as displaying a high level of integrity in all aspects of leadership.
While speaking on the organization’s reason for nominating Ikpea for the award, Director-General , Ambassador Johnny Ben said, “” recognising the Chairman of the Supporters Club is our own way of encouraging him to keep doing what he is doing in quietly impacting his immediate constituency and we believe this is a call to do more,”” he said.
Responding, Ikpea said,” I’m pleasantly surprised by what the Society for the Advancement of Credible Leadership has done in giving this award purely on the strength of their convictions about my person as well as my leadership style,
“The award is a further call to duty and I shall always ensure that I continue to uphold the values which have inspired this award in the first place,” he said.
Ikpea is scheduled to be the Society’s special guest of honour at an elaborate awards ceremony slated for Abuja next month. On the entourage of the Civil Society group was also Prince Oyedele Sunday, director, Media and Publicity.
