France defender Lucas Hernandez has issued a stern warning to Eden Hazard ahead of their semifinal clash at the Russia 2018 World Cup against Belgium on Tuesday night.
Hernandez, who plays for Atletico Madrid insisted that the French national team can handle Belgium’s ‘starmen’ such as Eden Hazard, Kelvin De Bryne, Lukaku and Fellaini in their semi-final match at the FIFA World Cup.
The Les Bleus qualified for the semifinals having defeated Uruguay on Friday before Belgium stunned World Cup favourite Brazil.
Hernandez maintained that France has the ability to deal with Hazard and his teammates just as it dealt with Messi in the second round match against Argentina.
“We have already eliminated the best player in the world [Messi] against Argentina. He didn’t touch the ball. That’s the truth,” Hernandez told reporters. “Against Belgium, we also have the players to make sure Hazard touches the ball as little as possible.”
