Angry Sarri Blast Bayern Over Interest In Chelsea Youngster

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has slammed Bayern Munich for what he termed unprofessional pursuit of youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Bayern Munich have tabled a £35million bid for the youngster a product of Chelsea academy.

Bayern Munich director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic was reported to publicly said the club really want to sign the player, a statement that irked Sarri.

The Italian who could not hide his reaction, in an interview on Friday, said he is happy with the player because he is improving.

“It is not professional because they are talking about a player under contract with Chelsea so they didn’t respect our club,’ Sarri said.

“Then I don’t know what to say. I don’t know the situation. I am happy with the player because he is improving, improving a lot in the defensive phase.

“Now he needs to improve in some movements without the ball but he is working very well at the moment so I am very happy with the player and would like to have him in the future.”

With 18 months left on Hudson-Odoi’s contract, the club is willing to tie down their academy product as they have offered him a new deal as Sarri also wants him to remain with the club.

Hudson-Odoi who starred in Chelsea 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round game at Stamford Bridge, could be handed a starting berth on Saturday as Rafael Benitez lead Newcastle to Stamford Bridge.

Sarri also noted the club needs to sign two players before the January transfer window closes by month end.

He said: ‘As you know very well I am not involved in the market. I spoke with the club and the club knows very well my opinion. In my opinion we need two players
