Again Barca Whip Madrid In Fourth El Clasico

Barcelona once again continued their dominance against Real Madrid picking another victory at the Santiago Bernabeu to move clear on top of the league table on Saturday night

Three days after sending Madrid out of the Copa del Rey in the semifinal game, the Blaugrana returned to the Spain capital with the vigour and determination to compound the Los Blancos poor season of shambolic performance.

Madrid interim manager, Santiago Solari had earlier in the run on to the game said his team have recovered from the Copa del Rey loss and want to reduce Barca point by defeating them and made some changes his squad with Thibaut Courtois back in post and Gareth Bale starting ahead of Lucas Vazquez.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde made just one change to the team that ran riot on Wednesday with Semedo paving way for Sergi Roberto.

It was Ivan Rakitic lone strike in the first half that made the difference with Barcelona extending their lead over Madrid to 12 points on the La Liga table.

Once again, it was obvious that Madrid lacked the cutting edge and a player that can shoulder the team as they were blunt in front of goal.

Barcelona were not however in their best of form like they played in the Copa del Rey but their entire defensive line have to be praised. Led by the strong Gerard Pique who was solid and coordinating the backlines to repel all Madrid antics.

Both teams have now met four times this season, twice in Copa del Rey and twice in the league and Barcelona won three out of the four scoring eight goals in total while Madrid drew one scoring just one goal.
