The current leadership tussle in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) could turn out to be a major loss as AITEO Group have indicated that it may withdraw their sponsorship deal with the NFF should the leadership tussle between Chris Giwa and Amaju Pinnick continues.
AITEO have been playing a crucial role in sponsoring Nigeria football but have so far expressed their displeasure over the crisis in the Glass House.
AITEO in a letter signed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ben Peters to the leadership of the football federation, the oil and gas giants gave NFF till this weekend to resolve the crisis
However, embattled NFF president was said to be appealing to AITEO not to withdraw their support from the nation’s football, urging the CEO to have a rethink on their personal relationship and rescind their decision.
Should AITEO go on to terminate their contract with the NFF, the body would be losing about N2.5 billion sponsorship deal which could cripple the country’s football.
