Amapakapo Looks Forward To Bigger Challenges

Coach of the Nigerian U23 team, Imama Amapakapo has boasted that he knew from the onset that the intermediate national team was going to turn the table against Libya in the reverse fixture of the AFCON U23 qualifier decided in Asaba on Monday evening.

“I knew from the on go that a two goals deficit is the easiest margin to cancel. All we needed to do was just to score one goal and the remaining goals will come and that’s exactly what the boys did to win this game. I look forward to bigger challenges in the qualification race for the Olympics,” Amapakapo said in a post match press conference.

A hat trick from Victor Osimhen and a last minute strike from substitute David Okeleke was all Nigeria needed to seal a 4-0 home victory over Libya and 4-2 aggregate win to qualify for the next round of the Olympics qualification series.
