Arsenal has announced that they have reached a deal worth £300 million with Sportswear giants, Adidas.
The club in a statement on its official website announced that the deal will commence from the 2018/2019 season.
Nike took over from Adidas as Arsenal’s kit sponsor in 1994 for two decades following their European Cup Winners and Arsenal will now join clubs who are been sponsored by Adidas.
The statement read, “Arsenal and Adidas have agreed on a new kit partnership, effective from July 1, 2019.”
According to a report on UK newspaper, Independent, Puma signed a five-year deal to be Arsenal’s kit sponsor since 2014 but the club has long been mooted to be in search for a new brand to take over with Manchester United and Chelsea both earning at least double than Arsenal’s £30 million per year deal.
