Serie A club, AS Roma have congratulated the Super Eagles for qualifying for the 2019 African Nations Cup to be hosted by Cameroon.
The Eagles held Bafana Bafana of South Africa to a 1-1 draw at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday to book their ticket with one game to spare.
Roma in a tweet on their official Twitter account described the Super Eagles as their latest team.
The Italian club romance with the Nigeria national team began before the Russia 2018 World Cup and the club seem to fancy the Eagles.
The tweet read, “Each day we shine a social spotlight on a team we follow and our latest #ASRoma Team of the Day is Nigeria’s @NGSuperEagles.
“After adopting them as our team during the 2018 World Cup, we’re delighted to see them qualify for #AFCON2019 today 🇳🇬 #ForzaSuperEagles.”
Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong will play against Roma next weekend for his Serie A club, Udinese.
