Barcelona coach, Ernesto Valverde says his side lacked the cutting edge that would have seen them run away with all three points against Valencia.
The Catalans failed to secure another win in three La Liga games following their 1-1 draw against Valencia Lionel Messi rescued the team from a defeat after Garay put the hosts in front at the Mestalla Stadium
Valverde in a post-match conference said, “We had control of the game, but we lacked that cutting edge,” said Ernesto Valverde.
”They had eight players near their area and we couldn’t lose sight of the other two. We didn’t want to allow them dangerous counter attacks, and we tried to score more, but without any luck.”
“The team came out with the mentality that it should have. But they were great defensively, and we missed chances,” he added.
