Barcelona’s have launched their third kit for the 2018/2019 Season, on the club’s official website on Wednesday.
The striking new pink kit released on Wednesday pays homage to the city of Barcelona and features a dynamic sash design inspired by one of its most famous streets, the Avinguda Diagonal.
The home kit celebrates the 10 principal districts of the city, while the yellow away kit reflects the 2005-06 campaign when the club won the Champions League and La Liga.
Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, and Gerard Pique were used to model the kit.
According to reports on the club’s official website, the two-tone shirt incorporates a darker red which gives way to a paler pink shade.
The shirt, keeping in line with similar designs Nike have produced for other clubs this season features an embossed, patterned section which shows a view of the city of Barcelona (all of the other clubs who have contracts with Nike have their cities printed onto their shirts).
The red area of the shirt, formed by two triangular sections, features a printed image of the Eixample district.
‘The sponsors’ logo and the club badge are in pale grey, while the squad numbers on the reverse are in dark grey.’
