MFM FC coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has said that his team will come out in full to attack their opponent, AS Real of Bamako ahead of their second leg CAF Champions League preliminary Round at the Soccer Temple Stadium,Agege on Wednesday.
Ilechukwu while speaking with journalist at the background of the maiden edition of the NFF Aieto Football Award held at Eko Hotel and Suites said despite their 1-1 draw at Bamako, both teams have the prospect of qualifying for the next round but he believe his team have a better chance.
He said that the tactics deployed in the first round was defensive because they played away, but they will be more attacking conscious in the return leg.
The MFM FC manager said he is happy that none of his players has any injury and they are all fit for the game but lamented on the ineligibility of his prolific forward, Sikiru Olatubosun who was not registered by the club for the preliminary round.
When asked about his achievement so far in the Nigeria Professional Football League, an elated Fidelis said he is happy with his team and how far they have gone stressing that he still have a lot to do for the team to attain greater feat.
He was excited that for 15 years, no club in Lagos State have played in the CAF champions league and it is a feat which he and the club have been able to achieve by bringing Champions League game back to soccer loving Lagoians.
He thanked the organizers of the award for deeming it fit to put up such award to recognize those who have excelled in the round leather game in Nigeria and it also give room for interaction and sharing of ideas between ex internationals.
