CHAN 2018: Super Eagles thrash Kano Pillars

Akwa United star man Alhassan Ibrahim scored two goals for the home based Super Eagles who are currently preparing for the African Nations Championships 2018 qualifiers against Benin Republic in their 3-1 win over Kano Pillars.

The forward who is highly regarded as one of the finest players in the Nigeria Professional Football League confirmed his rating with two well taken goals, while El-Kanemi Warriors’ goal scoring midfielder Samuel Matthias scored the third goal for the team.

Ibrahim opened his goal account for the Coach Salisu Yusuf tutored side during the warm up match after a nice cross from Lobi Stars forward Kingsley Eduwo gave him the chance to tap home. His second goal was a magnificent finish which left Kano Pillars Feeders startled.

With a possible move to Europe, Ibrahim was lively throughout the game and was by far, the best player for team during the game which was played at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.

This is the first of the games lined up by the Nigeria Football Federation for the team ahead of their qualifiers against Benin Republic in Cotonou on the 13th of August before returning to Kano for the second leg, which will come up on 19th August.
