Female National Team head coach, Thomas Dennerby has invited current African Women’s Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala, Former Falconets striker Courtney Dike, former U-20 goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie and 44 others for camping in preparation for the forthcoming African Women Cup of Nations coming up in Ghana.
The list comprises 29 home-based players and 19 foreign-based are, according to the Nigerian Football Federation, to resume in Epe, Lagos State.
Dike, who made the headlines after she rejected her allowances for participating in the 2014 Women’s U-20 World Cup in Canada, returns to the team after a three-year absence. She made her senior debut at the 2015 Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Others are goalkeepers Alaba Jonathan and Tochukwu Oluehi, defenders Glory Ogbonna, Joy Jegede, Ngozi Ebere and Onome Ebi, midfielders Ngozi Okobi, Halimat Ayinde, Christy Adule and Osarenoma Igbinovia and forwards Francisca Ordega, Uchechi Sunday, Chinwendu Ihezuo, Rasheedat Ajibade and Anam Imo.
