Eagles Star Prompts Boyhood Club Against Pillars In Aiteo Cup

Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi has decided to back his boyhood club, Sokoto United to defeat his former club, Kano Pillars in the round of 32 of the Aiteo Cup.

Sokoto United defeated Lagos-based club MFM FC in the round of 64 of the Aiteo Cup to advance to the round of 64 and were drawn against Kano Pillars with the game set to be played on Sunday 16th.

Abdullahi who plays for Turkey club, Bursaspor, was born in Sokoto and he began his football career with the amateur club Sokoto United  before he moved to Kano Pillars.

Abdullahi in a short video he posted on his social media said he will give one hundred thousand Naira to every goal scored by Sokoto United against Kano Pillars.

“This message is for the players of Sokoto United and the management. Am just here to support you guys and for your game that is coming up between Kano Pillars in the Aiteo Cup.

“Am here to let you know that each goal that you score against Kano Pillars with a win, I will give you N100,000 for it.

“If you score two goals, you have N200,000, if you score three goals, you have N300,000, if you you can score five to ten am ready to give you that.

“So am just here to show my support for my club which is Sokoto United. I wish you all the best and I wish you success in the game and injury free,” he added.
