El- Kanemi Warriors chairman, Alhaji Zanna Kakaje Dala has declared that the club will stick to their coach, Imama Amapakabo in the 2018-2019 seasons Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Maiduguri-based club reached the quarter-final of this year’s AITEO Cup but lost to Nasarawa United by a lone goal at the Aba Township Stadium.
The team’s media director, Tony Obaseki in an exclusive interview with hostportstv.com said the team resumed training on Monday with indigenous players from the State as the early birds as the team management expects a full house by Wednesday.
He noted that the management of the club is satisfied with the performance of Amapakabo who guided the club to 13th position after 25 games last season.
He said that the club has not bought or sold any players yet even though it has invited some players that will resume next week
The 2018-2019 NPFL season will kick off November 24, 2018, with league games across the various stadiums in the country.
Lobi Stars were crowned last season’s champions and will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League while Rangers International who defeated Kano Pillars in the AITEO Cup final recently, will be the country’s flag bearers in the CAF Confederations Cup.
