Another chance came begging in the 18th minute as Kamano found himself in a goal scoring position but his shot was nowhere near the post.

They were made to pay for wasting their efforts as the visitors took the lead three minutes to the breakthrough Pieros Sotiriou as he headed inside the net from a corner kick.

Bordeaux’s chance of equalizing was blown away after Jimmy Briand was brought down in the penalty box, but Francois Kamano failed to convert just minutes before the break.

The second half resumed with Bordeaux looking certain to draw level with the visitors as they got some couple of chances but had to wait until the 84th minute when Younousse Sankharé equalized with a volley from a point-blank range.
