FIFA To Sue BeoutQ For Illegal Broadcasting Of World Cup Contents

World football governing body, FIFA has refuted claims made by BeoutQ who illegally distributed the opening ceremony of the Russia 2018 World Cup in the MENA region on Thursday.

FIFA while responding in a statement on Friday, said the pirate channel infringed into its intellectual property and will take action against them.

A statement from FIFA official website reads, “FIFA is aware that a private channel named BeoutQ has illegally distributed the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in the MENA region”

“FIFA takes infringements of its intellectual property very seriously and is exploring all options to stop the infringement of its right, including in relation to action against legitimate organizations that seem to support such illegal activities”

“We refute that BeoutQ has received any rights from FIFA to broadcast the FIFA event,” the statement read.
