MFM Coach Apologises After CAFCL Exit

-By Henry Usiayo

MFM FC coach, Fidelis Illechukwu has said he will take full responsibilities for his team inability to qualify for the money spinning CAF Champions League group stage following a 6-0 defeat to MC Alger in Algeria.

A remorseful Ilechukwu said the team have also learnt a lot of lessons in their last two matches against the Algerian side and would not want to suffer same experience as they head to the CAF Confederation Cup.

“I understand that a lot of people in Nigeria would have been disappointed and at this point I can only take full responsibility and apologise to our ever loyal fans, the Lagos State Government and Pastor Daniel Olukoya.”

The Olukoya Boys despite their fine start to the maiden campaign in the continental showpiece lost on 7-2 aggregate and will now join the CAF Confederation Cup playoff stage.
