Jose Mourinho is set to make another sensational return to Madrid as manager of the European champion six years after he left the Santiago Bernabeu for Chelsea FC in 2013.
The Portuguese tactician was appointed as the manager of Real Madrid back in 2010 after he led Inter Milan to a historic treble. The Portuguese then presided over the capital side for three years, before falling apart with the Los Blancos and moving to Chelsea in 2013.
However, happenstances at the Santiago Bernabeu suggest that Mourinho could be on his way back.
Real Madrid are presently not having a good season haven saw an end to their title challenge on all three fronts within ten days. They first lost to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey, before tasting defeat once more against their fierce rivals in the league.
The Los Blancos then followed their double loss against Barcelona by getting thrashed by Ajax in the Champions League at home, effectively ending their triple-title charge.
The series of loses has resulted in the job of manager Santiago Solari coming under serious threat, with many suggesting that the Argentine will be axed any moment and his replacement would be none other than Mourinho.
