NPFL: MFM Eye First League Victory Against Kwara United

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) returns live on Wednesday and Thursday as the league which kicked off on Sunday enters matchday 2.

Not all the clubs will be involved in action again as six games were postponed just as it happened on match day 1 in the two Groups.

In Group A, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Football Club (MFM FC) will be hoping to get their first points for the season when they host Kwara United at the Agege Stadium.

The Olukoya Boys lost 2-0 to Enyimba at the Aba Township Stadium in the opening game of the season while Kwara was held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Sunshine Stars at Ilorin.

In the other Group A game, Niger Tornadoes and Rivers United will be hoping to also pick their first points for the season as they will be playing for the first time after their opening games were postponed.

In Group B, Abia Warriors who returned to Umuahia after their 1-0 loss to Nasarawa in matchday 1 will be praying not to suffer another defeat in front of their fans when they host Go Round FC of Omoku.

FC Ifeanyi Ubah who held Plateau United to a goalless draw on Matchday 1 will be hoping to avenge their South East brothers, Abia Warriors when they host Nasarawa United at the Ifeanyi Ubah Stadium in Anambra.

Impressive El-Kanemi Warriors who stunned Akwa United at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo will try to replicate their win in front of their supporters on Thursday when they welcome Kano Pillars who are now without their talisman, Junior Lokosa following his departure from the club to join Tunisia side, Esperance.
