NPFL: Rohr To Watch MFM, Rangers Game At Agege

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has confirmed he would be at the Agege Stadium to watch the Week 4 game between MFM FC and Rangers International on Wednesday.

The Nigeria Professional Football League enters Matchday 4 this Wednesday and Thursday with all the 24 clubs to be involved in action for the first time since the kick-off of the 2018/2019 season.

Rangers who are yet to play any of their previous games due to their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup will play their first leg game against the Olukoya Boys with Rohr confirmed to be in the VIP box.

The Franco-German who has less home-based players in his squad have been campaigning for a proper structure for the domestic league in other to create an avenue for him to get players who can compete favourably with the big boys who ply their trade in Europe.

Since his inception as Super Eagles coach, Rohr had given more preference to foreign-based players with only Ikechukwu Ezenwa as the major player that has been constantly invited to the Eagles camp.

The game between MFM FC and Rangers will indeed be one of the top league games for Matchday 4 as they Flying Antelopes will be hoping to kick start the season with a victory in a ground that MFM have turned to their slaughter house since they gained promotion to the NPFL.

Another cracker for Wednesday will be the game between last season’s CAF Confederation Cup semi-finalists, Enyimba who will host defending champions, Lobi Stars at the Aba Township Stadium.
