Things reached breaking point for Cristiano Ronaldo following Real Madrid’s goalless draw with rivals Atletico on Saturday night as he took out his frustration on boss Zinedine Zidane and some of his team-mates in the dressing room.
Los Blancos’ number seven is going through his joint-worst scoring run for the club, having only notched once in eight La Liga games so far this season.
The Portugal captain is also one of six La Liga players to have not made a single tackle and interception this term. Four of the five remaining players are goalkeepers and the fifth hasn’t even started a game.
And things boiled over for the 32-year-old who, according to Diario Gol, let his boss know all about it at full-time.
The report claims that Ronaldo said he gives everything on the pitch and is the last person to blame for Real’s poor form.
Earlier this month, the Portugal captain made his thoughts over the sale of Pepe, Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez public, slamming the club for letting them go.
But it wasn’t just Zidane that faced Ronaldo’s wrath. Isco, Luka Modric and Marco Asensio were also on the receiving end. The forward blamed his team-mates for ‘not looking for him on the field’.
Ronaldo believed that he couldn’t play his best because he wasn’t getting any help from his team-mates.
