Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aveiro has sprung up defence for her brother after he was sent off in Juventus’ Champions League win over Valencia.
Ronaldo’s Champions League debut with Juventus was cut short and ended in disaster on Wednesday after he was shown a red card in just the 29th minute of the match.
Ronaldo clashed with Jeison Murillo off the ball and away from the eyes of the referee.
But replays showed there was a slight coming together between the two players, but Ronaldo didn’t appear to lash out at his rival with his hand or head.
The official gestured to the referee which was followed by a red card as he was forced to leave the pitch in disbelief.
He did, however, appear to pull the hair of Murillo, which was spotted by the linesman.
Aveiro took to Instagram to post pictures of her brother, Christiano Ronaldo and that of the event with the caption,
“Shame on football. Justice will be done. Want to destroy my brother. Shameful”.
“They want to knock you down but you will never get it, it’s incredible.
“Will pay dearly for these tears. God bless you, God never sleeps,” and fourth: “More respect in football, shameful.”
