Lobi Stars coach, Solomon Ogbeide has admitted that there is still room for improvement in the team after guiding them to win the Super Cup on Tuesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Tuesday against Rangers International.
The Super Cup which is a curtain raiser for the 2018/2019 NPFL season saw Lobi who were NPFL 2017/2018 Champions elect, defeating AITEO Cup winners Rangers 1-0 in a pulsating courtesy of a first-half stoppage goal by Samad Kadiri.
Speaking in a post-match interview Ogbeide said, “I am happy to win the Super Cup.
“But there is room for improvement, there is still work to be done and I want us to look at this team, criticize us because we are now representing Nigeria (in the 2019 CAF Champions League) and we want to be proud representatives.
The Markurdi-based club will begin their continental campaign this weekend when they travel to Cameroon to play UMS de Loum in the CAF Champions League preliminary stage and Ogbeide is optimistic his team will qualify for the for and represent Nigeria well in the competition this season.
