Olympique Lyonnais will travel to England to take on Premier League giants, Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
Manchester City have had an almost perfect start to the season recording four wins and one draw in five games in the Premier League so far.
Despite losing star man, Kevin De Bruyne to a knee injury earlier in the season, they don’t seem to be affected just yet as they’ve gone on to win games without him.
Lyon, on the other hand, have had a rather fair start to the season with two wins, one draw and two defeats in the French Ligue 1 this term.
Manchester City were knocked out of the Champions League last season by Premier League counterparts, Liverpool in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, Lyon played in the UEFA Europa League last season and were eliminated in the Round of 16.
The Lyon backline will have to be on the lookout for City’s Kun Aguero who is City’s most consistent marks man.
Gabriel Jesus also offers sufficient firepower as a back up just like the tireless David Silva who has proved to be a worthwhile replacement for injured Kevin De Bruyne Olympique Lyon will have World Cup winner, Nabil Fekir and Dutchman, Memphis Depay as threats going forward.
Manchester City and Olympique Lyonnais have never met each other in a match before and this match is sure going to be a tough encounter for the two sides.
Manchester City will most likely come out as winners in this encounter, the reason being that they have a stronger squad than Lyon, coupled with the fact that they will be playing on their homeground.
